Day 2. Our last day in Copenhagen. On day 3 we would have to get up early to catch our flight back home. A couple of weeks before our departure we got the notification that the late flight had been cancelled and were left with the option for an early flight that same day. One day less to enjoy Copenhagen unfortunately.

Colorful Copenhagen, Day 1
Colorful and cold. And boy did it feel cold at times (brrr!). But I guess that’s all part of a good Scandinavian winter. Including the snow of course. We left from Eindhoven airport and were at Copenhagen airport in less than 1,5 hours. Normally it only takes about 20 minutes to get from the airport to Kongens Nytorv (The King’s New Square) by Metro. Our trip took a little longer because we had to wait and switch lines due to some problems just before we reached our destination. Eventually we got where we needed to be and could find our way to the hotel easily. One week after Budapest we were now in Copenhagen (17th of January).
A Few Shots From our Last Efteling Visit.
We still had some tickets left for another visit to the Efteling and it would be a waste not to use them. So two weeks ago we were back at the Efteling for another visit. It was a pretty busy day with longer queues at the rides as a result. But we were in no hurry and there’s plenty to see and do for which you don’t have to queue.
Hello Tourist!
Yes it’s very touristic. And yes it might get a little busy sometimes I guess (attracting over 1.6 million tourist last year). But the Zaanse Schans is also a lot of fun. We were happy to spend a couple of hours there.
Holiday in Hungary
Another trip to Hungary last month. Time to meet up with family and friends again. So we jumped into the car and started the long drive. About 19 hours later (luckily it went faster on the way back) we arrived save and sound in Hungary. After a good night sleep and a proper breakfast, we were good to go again and ready for the days ahead.
A Short Story About a Long Walk (in Breda)
The Day of the Castle is held every year on Whit Monday. Castles, Country estates and ruins open their doors to the general public. We decided to use this opportunity and have a look at some of the places that are normally off limits and enjoy a day in the city of Breda. Many activities for young and old were organized. The city also has a long history connected to the House of Nassau which was also celebrated at this day. Pictures were taken with the X100S using the WCL-X100 to have a wider angle.
Jazz and the City
4 days of jazz on 16 locations throughout the centre of Breda. Over 175 concerts and almost all of them are free. This year (May 14th till 17th) the 45th edition of the Breda Jazz Festival took place. The festival attracks over 200.000 visitors in 4 days.
