The idea of spending the day alone was a little weird. Normally we enjoy these city trips together. But here I was nevertheless. At least we had a nice breakfast together and I got to walk Adri to her training location. After saying goodbye and knowing we would see each other soon again, I set out to find the statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree.

Me and Adri had never been in Madrid before. But when Adri got the chance to go there for work, luckily that changed. We used that opportunity to pay Madrid a visit together and booked an extra ticket so I could join her on her trip. 🙂 The training would take 2 days but we stayed a couple of days extra. This gave us more time to really enjoy and explore the city.

In August we had our little family holiday at lake Balaton, Hungary. By then the sun was still shining and we didn’t need winter jackets yet. But looking at these photos does bring a little sunshine and heat to this cold November.

Last month we had a nice family day at the Burgers’ Zoo. I like this place because it’s more than just a zoo. They have different ecodisplays which will show the animals in their natural habitat. This way you can explore the jungle (bush), walk the dessert, dive into the ocean or find your way in the mangroves. There’s a lot to explore as you really become a part of the ecosystem. You’re right in the middle of it all.

Rotterdam isn’t exactly my favorite city. But I had an hour to kill while waiting for Adri and decided to make the best of it. I took my camera and had a short walk around the city. And I actually kinda enjoyed it to my own surprise.
