In August we had our little family holiday at lake Balaton, Hungary. By then the sun was still shining and we didn’t need winter jackets yet. But looking at these photos does bring a little sunshine and heat to this cold November.

Last month we had a nice family day at the Burgers’ Zoo. I like this place because it’s more than just a zoo. They have different ecodisplays which will show the animals in their natural habitat. This way you can explore the jungle (bush), walk the dessert, dive into the ocean or find your way in the mangroves. There’s a lot to explore as you really become a part of the ecosystem. You’re right in the middle of it all.

On May 19th there was an Open Campus Day at PVH. PVH owns brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. It’s also the place where Adri works. So it was a nice opportunity to see a little bit more of the company itself and the things they do. Truly a well organised day for young and old. With a Ferris wheel, face paint and lots of food and drinks. A live band playing and a visit to the top with a view over Amsterdam. I can see why Adri loves working there. 🙂

5 days may seem long. But we could have easily stayed another week or so. We were with a group of 11 people and we had an amazing time and a lot of fun. We really enjoyed this magical ride!

It was the last weekend of March and the weather started to look like spring. Which was perfect because we had some visitors from Hungary. We were really happy to welcome Sanyika and Andi at our place and show them a little bit of Holland. And it wasn’t just the two of them. Turned out that Superman also felt like he needed a little holiday and decided to come along. We thought the beach would be a good place to start. So off we went to Scheveningen!

It had been a while since our last visit to the Efteling. So we thought taking Iván there would be a nice present for his birthday. Something we all would enjoy. And we most certainly did! It was a calm day and the weather was really nice. Couldn’t have planned it any better. And as promised, he could choose a couple of more presents while we were there. 🙂
