5 days may seem long. But we could have easily stayed another week or so. We were with a group of 11 people and we had an amazing time and a lot of fun. We really enjoyed this magical ride!Continue reading
It was the last weekend of March and the weather started to look like spring. Which was perfect because we had some visitors from Hungary. We were really happy to welcome Sanyika and Andi at our place and show them a little bit of Holland. And it wasn’t just the two of them. Turned out that Superman also felt like he needed a little holiday and decided to come along. We thought the beach would be a good place to start. So off we went to Scheveningen!Continue reading
It had been a while since our last visit to the Efteling. So we thought taking Iván there would be a nice present for his birthday. Something we all would enjoy. And we most certainly did! It was a calm day and the weather was really nice. Couldn’t have planned it any better. And as promised, he could choose a couple of more presents while we were there. 🙂Continue reading
Time flies! Iván turning 5 already is just another example of exactly that! Another birthday. Another round of celebrations. At home and at school. A birthday hat for the birthday boy and birthday songs all day long (and the weekend before). He brought some small presents to school for his classmates and teachers. Received a lot of presents during the week. And got pizza and cake as a birthday dinner. Here’s to our 5 year old!Continue reading
This is blog post number hundred! One hundred blog posts! ONE HUNDRED! 100! Can you believe it? I certainly can’t! It’s quite a milestone. And what a better way to celebrate it with the arrival of Sinterklaas and his Pieten. Last Saturday Sint-Nicolaas arrived from Spain. And that’s always a big festivity here in The Netherlands. Children (and parents) are excited about the toys and candies he brings. Iván and Simon dressed up as Piet for this special occasion.
Shot during our last visit to the Efteling. Sometimes you just have to wait and be patient. Simple as that!
A funfair, right in the heart of the city. Last week we were in Breda to visit the carnival. I expected this post to be in color. After all there’s plenty of color to be seen at a funfair. Bright lights and neon signs everywhere. But when processing the images I actually preferred them in black and white (with one exception as you’ll see). That just seemed to work better in this case. Removing the distraction of all the colors and emphasizing the persons instead. Or maybe it’s just the look and feel of street photography that I love so much. Either way, here are some photos of last weekend.
